Kathmandu, March 17
Minister of Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali is leaving for Argentina tomorrow leading a Nepali delegation to the Second High-level United Nations Conference on South- South Cooperation being held in Buenos Aires from March 20 to 22.
The foreign minister will deliver Nepal’s national statement at the plenary of the conference that reads ‘Role of South-South Cooperation and the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: Challenges and Opportunities’.
Gyawali will also participate as a panelist to the event titled Leveraging South-South and Triangular Cooperation to Advance Sustainable Development in Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States organised by United Nations Office of the High Representative for Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN- OHRLLS), according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Gyawali will also participate in a High Level Dialogue with Asian countries being organised by the Argentinian foreign minister on March 21. On the sidelines of the conference, the foreign affairs minister will engage in bilateral meetings with his counterparts from various countries.
Gyawali will return to Kathmandu on March 23.
