Absconding convict arrested after five years in Tanahun; sent to prison

DAMAULI: Police in Tanahun district on Thursday arrested an absconding man convicted of setting a house on fire five years ago.

The arrested has been identified as Thag Bahadur Kamarjogi (50) aka Aaita.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office (DPO) Shyamu Aryal, Kamarjogi was on the run since the District Court Tanahun had sentenced him a term of five years imprisonment after he was found guilty of burning down a house five years ago.

Kamarjori was caught a special team deployed from the DPO.

Meanwhile, the arson convict has been sent to the prison after he was presented before the court today.
