AMARGADHI: Heavy snowfall in Dadeldhura, the district in the Far-Western province, has blocked transportation to seven hilly districts in the province.
No vehicles have been able to ply on the Bhimdatta Highway remaining as the major roadway for Darchula, Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Bajhang, Doti, Achham, and Bajura districts since last night.
Melkharka, Hagulde, Saun Kharka, Bhatkanda and Syale Bazaar along the highway have witnessed snowfall measuring up to four inches.
Dadeldhura District Police Office said preparations were underway to clear the mass of snow with the help of the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police.
This is the third time that the area received heavy snowfall this winter.
