Khotang, September 22
Financial support was provided to a kidney patient of Bramang in Majhuwagadhi Rupakot Municipality, Khotang, today.
As many as 72 youths, who are connected through the Facebook page Hamro Aawaj Paribartan Samaj,chipped in some money to help nine-year-old kidney patient Susmita Bishwokarma of Majuwagadhi Rupakot Municipality’s Bramang. They provided a total of Rs 22, 500 at a programme organised on the occasion of Social Day in Diktel.
Ward chair Tanka Prasad Acharya of Ward No 1 handed over the collected amount to the kidney patient and her mother. Similarly, Youbarj Thapa, who is a migrant worker in Qatar, provided the minor with Rs 15,000 yesterday. Thapa handed over the amount through head teacher Surya Bahadur Thapa of Foundation School at Surkedanda.
According to doctors, Susmita’s left kidney is functioning partially and it needs immediate surgery.
