KATHMANDU: A two-day web technology conference focusing on tech enthusiasts and tech professionals of Nepal was organised by WEB WEEKEND KATHMANDU (WWKTM) in late September at Teku, Kathmandu.
The conference that ran from September 22 to 23 was organised to bring together national and international tech experts to create an environment where web technologists can connect throughout the world.
In the conference, a total of nine national and international speakers put forward their thoughts, perspectives, experience, and challenges.
According to the press statement issued by WWKTM, the glocal Nepali tech industry that supported a spectrum of business, ranging from local Nepali Agri industry to global Hollywood film industry, is very compartmentalized, with various domains of IT industry lacking suitable cross-linking.
The conference was aimed to relieve the sore lack of a platform where all can come together, share their stories, network and develop meaningful partnerships. “The conference provided such platform for both developers and the designers to know each-other”, the statements reads.
The organizers aim to conduct this conference every year from now on to provide exposure to the Nepali tech industry and help build a network between global and local web technologists.
