BIRATNAGAR: A person died after being shot by an unidentified group in Duhabi Municipality-9 of Sunsari district on Wednesday morning.
Police identified the deceased as Mohammad Fida Hussein (54), a supervisor at the local Jay Baba Brick Industry.
According to police, Hussein was on his morning walk when he was shot in his chest, critically injuring him.
The injured was rushed to Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital, where he breathed his last during the course of treatment, informed Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Gyanendra Phuyal.
Meanwhile, police are at the incident site and further investigation into the case is underway, DSP Phuyal said.
