KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has paid tribute to Late Minister Rabindra Adhikari and others deceased in the Air Dynasty chopper crash that took place in Taplejung yesterday.
Issuing a press statement, the party has expressed sorrow on the demise of their central committee member and Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari, along with tourism entrepreneur Ang Tshiring Sherpa, Deputy Director General of Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) Birendra Shrestha, CAAN Director Dhruba Das Bhochhibhaya, Under-Secretary at the Prime Minister’s office Yubaraj Dahal, pilot of the helicopter Captain Prabhakar KC, and security personnel Arjun Ghimire.
Likewise, the party has offered its deepest condolences to the family members and kin of the deceased.
The party has decided to raise the party flag at half-staff today in all parties offices across the country. Similarly, it has stated that it will hold a tribute gathering on March 7.
As per the statement, mortal remains of the late Minister will be kept at Tundikhel after postmortem in Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH). The party calls on its cadres, members of various political parties, high-level officials and the general public to participate in the tribute programme that would take place from 3:00 pm today.
Final rites of Minister Adhikari would take place at his home district in Kaski, tomorrow.
NCP (NCP) has decided to request the government to provide necessary support to the family of the deceased, reads the statement.
