BHIMDUTTANAGAR: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has stressed that the government should bring Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) into the mainstream of national politics through talks.
Speaking at a press meet organised at Bhimdattanagar this morning, the NC President said that peace and security should be established in the country by bringing Biplav-led group into consensus. “The government should move ahead by holding talks immediately,” he opined.
Deuba further expressed his dissatisfaction regarding the interference of the government in every sector in the name of the two-thirds majority. He alleged that the government was trying to keep the appointment of academicians at the Tribhuvan University, bill related to medical education, judiciary and press freedom under its control.
NC President Deuba said that crimes like murder and rape were on the rise in the country citing that the incumbent government had not carried out any remarkable activity during its first year in office.
