The PM, is staying at Lumbini-based Hokke Hotel with tight security arrangements.

Today, Oli visited the Mayadevi temple in the evening and lit lamps there.

“The prime minster, who is also the coordinator of the 2,563rd Buddha Jayanti Main Celebration Committee, inquired about preparations for tomorrow’s announcement of the Lumbini Visit Year 2019,” said Lumbini Development Fund executive member Saroj Bhattarai.

To make Buddha Jayanti a success, a 563-strong main celebration committee has been formed under the coordination of the PM. There are other 18 sub-committees to assist the main committee.

According to Lumbini Development Fund officials, Prof Myint Utan, grandson of former UN general secretary and an Indian government minister Ramdas Atuwal, among other dignitaries, will participate in tomorrow’s event.
